I have been involved in horse racing for the past twenty-one years, and in this time, I have used several trainers. During these years, I have never had a trainer that I fully trusted to tell me the truth about the quality or condition of my horses until I met the Hassenpflugs. Chad has a unique ability to place horses in races where they are most competitive. By doing this, he has managed to keep me at or near the top of the 2003 and 2004 leading owner standings at Delta Downs.

Chad and Tammy have the perfect training relationship. They are both expert trainers, while Chad takes care of the track training duties, Tammy trains at their impressive training facility. Their training facility, located just 10 minutes from Delta Downs, features a fifty-stall barn, training track, and a swimming area. The Hassenpflugs have a broad knowledge of racehorses and are always willing to assist the owners in their selections at the yearling sales.

I have been actively involved with horse racing for forty years but not as an owner until I met the Hassenpflugs. I previously had never met a trainer that I could trust to care for my horse in a manner that met my high expectations. I have been so impressed with the integrity, knowledge, facilities, staff and personal contact that Team "H" imparts to their horses and owners. Recently I called Tammy to discuss the new silicon food supplements developed through initial research at Texas A and M University by Dr. Gary Potter. She was not only already familiar with the research and products but was in the process of implementing the new supplement to all the horses in the stable. I shared with her some results of a research project I conducted regarding turn down horse shoes, once again the Hassenpflugs were already knowledgeable about their potential dangers. I have met trainers from Saratoga to Hollywood Park and many of them are not as aware of equine research as Chad and Tammy. Those who know the Hassenpflugs and also know about horses appreciate Chad and Tammy's entire operation including their expert staff of grooms and assistants.
